WE MADE HISTORY
Introducing Our 1st Annual
Supportive Housing and
Reintegration Pilot program (SHARPP)
JUSTICE 4 HOUSING & BOSTON HOUSING AUTHORITY CREATE THE
STABLE HOUSING AND REINTEGRATION PILOT PROGRAM (SHARPP)
A program designed for those returning to their communities after incarceration.
A month ago we were adversaries, today we are partners.
"We applaud Boston Housing Authority for being a leader in rebuilding lives who have been impacted by incarceration. It is the first Public Housing Authority in MA, to partner with a directly affected organization, led by people who are the closest to the problem, who know how to manage the problem.”
This is what different looks like!

Increase in recidivism rate, 36%
Rising healthcare cost
Decrease in public safety
These are just a few of the collateral consequences PHA’s inflict on minority communities like ours.
“It is a beautiful thing, to be able to advocate for policy change, and them realizing we were not so different. BHA provided J4H with Section 8 Vouchers to be allocated to individuals returning to the community, homeless after incarceration.
This is a huge milestone for our community, Returning Citizens and for the City of Boston!
